Introducing elements of sustainability into your bathroom and building environmentally friendly habits is vital if we want to see a change. Here are a few tips to help make your bathroom go green:

1.      Go Low Flow

Not only should you decrease your shower time to make it extra effective opt for a low flow shower head. Even just cutting off 5 minutes from shower time can make a huge impact and going with a low flow shower head can decrease your carbon footprint.

2.      Use Refillable Bottles

The amount of single use plastic bottles for soaps, shampoos and many other bath and body related products is extensive and extremely damaging to the environment. You could invest in some refillable containers to put in liquid soaps, shampoos and conditioners.

5.      Switch to Menstrual Cups

This might be a big change for most ladies, but it is a worthy change. Many studies have demonstrated that tampons can actually take up to 6 months to biodegrade. In addition, sanitary pads can take up to five hundred to eight hundred years to decompose. Not only do menstrual cups save a whole load of cash, it can help in saving the environment and can be worn for longer periods of time. Meaning that it is less of a waste and more eco-friendly compared to the other two options.
